摘要: *Corresponding Author N. Jeyathilakan drjthilakan@yahoo.com The dog tapeworm Echinococcus granulosus is the causative agent of cystic hydatid disease in domestic / wild herbivores animals and man. Accurate immunodiagnosis infection requires highly specific sensitive antigens. aim this study was to develop evaluate various immunoassays with principles precipitation, agglutination enzyme for identification cattle infected cyst. It would allow monitoring from endemic areas identifying prior slaughter. were developed validated using specific, non cross reactive low molecular weight 8 kDa cyst fluid protein. Sera used assay validations obtained 150 naturally non-infected cattle. highest diagnostic sensitivity Enzyme linked immuno electro transfer blot (EITB) at 87.5% followed by Latex test (85.5%) Counter immunoelectrophoresis(75%) . demonstrated that EITB most immunological detection echinococcosis This proved be adequate surveillance systems evaluating control programmes.
