摘要: Methylglyoxal (MG), a highly reactive metabolite of hyperglycemia, can enhance protein glycation, oxidative stress or inflammation. The present study investigated the effects apocynin on mechanisms associated with MG toxicity in osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells. Pretreatment cells prevented MG-induced glycation and formation intracellular oxygen species mitochondrial superoxide In addition, increased glutathione levels restored activity glyoxalase I inhibited by MG. These findings suggest that provide protective action against cell damage reducing increasing detoxification system. Apocynin treatment decreased proinflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-α interleukin-6 induced Additionally, nitric oxide level reduced was significantly apocynin. indicate might exert its therapeutic via upregulation system antioxidant activity. Taken together, may prove to be an effective for diabetic osteopathy. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
