摘要: It is believed by some that in the United States peptic ulcer more common among nonwhites than whites even though there have been few studies on this topic. To shed light area, data collected National Center for Health Statistics were analyzed. Crude rates from Interview Survey (prevalence data), Hospital Discharge Survey, and Mortality all show nonwhites. past 28 yr analyzed with respects to age, race, sex, type of ulcer. From 1949 1977, had consistently higher crude death both gastric duodenal ulcers During same time period age-adjusted mortality a rate concluded age-specific need be considered when evaluating how disease white nonwhite populations. oversimplify picture. Nonwhites up age 65-74 yr, but it becomes lower after that.
