摘要: Biological factors have been associated with deliberate self-harm (DSH) but not integrated clinical in routine risk assessments. This study aimed to examine the incremental validity of lipid levels and platelet serotonin when combined psychosocial assessments for repeated admissions due DSH. In this prospective observational 196 acutely admitted patients, results blood tests performed upon admission MINI Suicidal Scale DSH factor at discharge were compared incidence recorded during first 3 12 months after discharge. High triglyceride found be a significant marker patients or more times (repeated DSH, DSH-R) tested against other factors. When all (9) univariate 12-month post-discharge DSH-R analyzed multivariate logistic regression, (p = 0.043), lack insight 0.040), level 0.020) remained significant. The estimated area under curve receiver operator characteristic (ROC-AUC) was 0.74 triglycerides, 0.81 MINI, 0.89 + factors, 0.91 triglycerides. applied multifaceted approach also significantly discriminated between 0.047) triglycerides 0.046) analysis which served as reference group (rather than non-DSH patients). values provided assessment Therefore, bio-psychosocial appears promising, further research is necessary refine validate method.
