摘要: A technique is described for the measurement of total dissolved inorganic carbon by acid release as CO2 followed its conversion to methane and detection flame ionization in a modified gas chromatograph. This method was used determine concentration reached at compensation point when algae were allowed photosynthesize closed system buffer known pH, calculated from this concentration. The points 16 freshwater measured alkaline pH air-saturated medium: ranged 4.8 41.5 microliters per liter while they 0.2 7.2 liter. Removal O2 medium caused slight lowering but had little effect pH. These low, O2-insensitive are characteristic C4 plants. It suggested that these low maintained an active bicarbonate uptake especially
