摘要: Summary 1 We explore the relationship between patch occupancy and local abundance in a general model for regional population dynamics. We vary colonization ability key demographic habitat characteristics order to effects on abundance–occupancy relationships. 2 In populations which rates are very high, new is rapidly colonized there simple asymptotic abundance, assuming that quality linked. 3 If moderate low, as metapopulations, similarly positive but minimum below metapopulation becomes extinct. 4 These responses modulated by occurrence of Allee effects, stochasticity or depensatory effects: when such significant, rescue effect important, more sensitive changes density. 5 Finally, no abundance. 6 Our results emphasize two aspects large-scale ecology being generating abundance-occupancy relationships: (i) average proportion habitable; (ii) nature colonization. It important note function dispersal, fecundity, processes well availability isolation patches. 7 When an exists typically non-linear scaling from total sizes at low densities, we discuss how this may be detected real data, its implications.
