摘要: Bio-based plastics and composites are getting attention as an alternative to unsustainable petro-chemical based plastics. Hemp fiber reinforced wheat gluten (WG) can be in many applications, because of their interesting tensile properties environmental friendliness. However, the evaluation sustainability is important before efforts made for commercial production process. In this study three hemp farmers were interviewed opinion about WG future cropping plans. Consumer analysis was done people’s willingness choose pay (80 respondents). The produced subjected biodegradability test using ASTM D5988-03 standard. Life cycle assessment (LCA) also conducted composites. Farmers have shown a positive response showed increase hemp. consumer 75.3% people said that they will plastics, whereas 4.9% synthetic Forty six percent 10% more 30.6% 20% more, percentage who 30% 15.8%. Biodegradability shows biodegradable with 37% WG, 29% glutenin 34% gliadin (conversion carbon into CO2 after 90 days period). consume less energy emit greenhouse gases compared sustainable interest future.
