摘要: The current experimental work aimed at the investigation of overall chromium removal capacity constructed wetlands (CWs) and fate-distribution within a wetland environment. For this purpose, setup included parallel operation monitoring two horizontal subsurface flow (HSF) pilot-scale CWs vertical (VF) treating Cr-bearing wastewater. Samples were collected from influent, effluent, substrate plants. Apart continuous experiment, batch experiments (kinetics isotherm) conducted in order to investigate adsorption material. According findings, HSF-CWs demonstrated higher capacities comparison VF-CWs, while both types planted units indicated better performance compared unplanted ones. Analysis various compartments annual mass balance calculation highlighted exceptional contribution retention, Cr accumulation plant was not so high. Finally, data fitted pseudo-second-order Langmuir models regarding kinetics isotherm simulation.
