摘要: Purpose To evaluate in vitro resistance of 5 techniques internal fixation bilateral fractures involving the mandibular angle and body. Materials Methods Twenty-five polyurethane mandibles were used as substrates, fixed with a 2-mm system, divided into groups: I, 1 4-hole plate, without intermediate space, in neutral zone body another similar plate external oblique ridge contralateral angle; II, 6-hole a left III, locking right ridge; IV, 2 plates, one tension other compression body, V, plates similarly buccal side angle. Mandibles subjected to vertical linear load tests by mechanical testing machine (Instron 4411, Instron Corp, Norwood, MA) record peak for displacements 3, 5, and 7 mm. Results Group I had least all groups, regardless displacement, group IV greatest resistance. Among groups there was no statistically meaningful difference. Conclusion Fixation using region technique that presented best
