摘要: Abstract Introduction Hemostasis during thyroidectomy is essential; however, the safest, most efficient and cost-effective way to achieve this unclear. The aim of study was evaluate outcome total (TT) performed with combination harmonic scalpel (HS) Floseal. Methods Patients undergone TT were divided into two groups: HS + Floseal traditional hemostasis groups. primary endpoint 24-h drain output blood-loss requiring reintervention. Secondary endpoints included surgery duration, postsurgical complications hypocalcemia rates. Results Between September 2012 January 2014, 165 patients enrolled (100 HS + Floseal, 65 standard hemostasis); 80.5% female; mean age 42.3 years. lower in group compared TT. also had a shorter time ( p Conclusion Floseal plus HS effective safe for it provides complementary hemostatic approach.
