摘要: ABSTRACTA century has passed since Abraham Flexner posed the question on whether social work is a profession. This article attempts to answer that question, and considers several definitions put forth by global national professional organizations, including definition of clinical work. Addressing current state practice its impact education, particularly work, this takes into account factors affect both areas, such as behavioral health care movement, emphasis evidence-based practice, research grant acquisition expectations in recruitment faculty. Implications these trends are addressed, along with future direction profession educational mandate.
