摘要: NEIBank is a project to gather and organize genomic resources for eye research. The first phase of this covers the construction sequence analysis cDNA libraries from human animal model tissues develop an overview repertoire genes expressed in resource clones further studies. data are grouped identified using tools bioinformatics results displayed through web site where they can be interrogated by keyword search, chromosome location, Blast (sequence comparison) or alignment on completed genomes. Many novel proteins splice forms known have already emerged accumulating data. This review provides current state database tissues, with specific comparisons some parallel mouse rat, illustrative examples kinds insights discoveries these produce. One major themes that emerges at molecular level significant differences those rodents, encompassing species genes, alternative great variation levels gene expression. These point adaptations mechanisms emphasize care needs taken application appropriate systems.
