摘要: Hydrocephalus and hydrocephalus-related problems occupy a large part of current neurosurgical activity, accounting for approximately 35–50 % pediatric practice. At present, the most frequent treatment hydrocephalus consists cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) shunting, especially with ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunts. Other types CSF derivations, such as lumboperitoneal, ventriculopleural, ventriculo-gallbladder, subgaleal etc., continue to be in use, although they are less often utilized.
