摘要: Background: South Africa has evolved new policies and legislations to renew the governance administrative systems of country in wake multiparty democracy. However, public institutions, including African Police Service (SAPS), are still criticised for poor service delivery. The SAPS often blamed its perceived performance on inadequate resources despite existence a supply chain management (SCM) policy that seeks bring efficiency acquisition deployment Therefore, using framework theory, this study sought assess perceptions personnel at Northern Cape province SCM policy’s impact delivery challenges thereof. Aim: aim is contribute understanding how enhance capabilities government departments. Setting: setting Africa. Methods: adopted cross-sectional survey design with main follow-up being conducted. involved data collection from 174 staff members while 70 respondents. Results: Statistical analysis two sets revealed had some positive Staffing inadequacy was found be biggest challenge. In fact, 12 out 15 attributable human factor. Conclusion: NC, but there room improvement.
