Major Morbidity and Mortality Within 1 Month of Ambulatory Surgery and Anesthesia

摘要: Objective. —To determine the incidence and time sequence of mortality major morbidity after ambulatory surgery. Design. —Prospective outcome survey patients at 16 to 72 hours 30 days their surgical procedures. Setting. —A tertiary care rural referral center providing care. Patients. total 38598 aged 18 years older undergoing 45090 consecutive procedures anesthetics. Contact rates for were 99.94% 95.9%, respectively. Main Outcome Measures. —Mortality incidences, including myocardial infarction, central nervous system deficit, pulmonary embolism, respiratory failure. Results. —Thirty-three either experienced or died (1:1366 [proportional risk]). Four (1:11 273), two infarction in automobile accidents.
