摘要: The genome of influenza A viruses (IAV) consists eight single-stranded negative sense viral RNAs (vRNAs) encapsidated into ribonucleoproteins (vRNPs). It is now well established that packaging (i.e., the incorporation a set distinct vRNPs budding particles), follows specific pathway guided by segment-specific cis-acting signals on each vRNA. However, precise nature and function signals, mechanisms underlying assembly sub-bundles in cytoplasm their selective at site, remain largely unknown. Here, we review diverse complementary methods currently being used to elucidate these aspects cycle. They range from conventional competitive reverse genetics, single molecule imaging fluorescence situ hybridization (FISH) high-resolution electron microscopy tomography particles, solely vitro approaches investigate vRNA-vRNA interactions molecular level.
