摘要: Heated glucose is mutagenic to Salmonella typhimurium TA 100 in the absence of S-9 mix. For identifying unknown mutagens heated (dry solid, 200 degrees C, 20 min), reaction with isopropylideneguanosine (IPG) was followed by isolation and characterization mutagen-IPG adduct. Two adducts, glyoxal-IPG 8-hydroxy-IPG, were identified mixture this technique. To elucidate mechanism hydroxylation reaction, we investigated abilities various agents hydroxylate deoxyguanosine or guanine base DNA. Various reducing agents, metals, asbestoses, polyphenols, aminophenols, X-ray effective for hydroxylation, an oxygen radical seems be reactive species. sensitive detection 8-hydroxyguanine, a monoclonal antibody it prepared.
