摘要: Abstract Experiments comparing anhysteretic remanence (ARM) and thermoremanence (TRM) in samples containing natural synthetic magnetite, whose mean particle sizes range from single domain to multidomain, show that ARM TRM are very similar (but not identical) their stabilities with respect alternating field (AF) demagnetization, temperature cycles zero below magnetite's isotropic near 130°K, stability spontaneous decay field. Therefore, for magnetites, can be used model (with reasonable success) these properties of TRM. The dependence the acquisition shows low susceptibility ratio, χ /χ , has a size dependence, increasing 0.1 certain submicron particles 2.0 large multidomain crystals. Even is predominantly carried by highly variable, 0.11 ≤ 0.50 . paleointensity methods which do take into account variability subject order-of-magnitude uncertainties.
