摘要: Abstract Vibriosis is one of the most prevalent bacterial diseases leading to high mortality in cultured fish and shellfish. Recent reports reveal that secondary metabolites extracted from marine macro algae have defensive mechanism against infectious pathogens. This study exhibits antibacterial antioxidant efficacies Portieria hornemannii extract using vitro vivo assays. LD50 value Oreochromis mossambicus (average body weight 10 g) was found be 9 × 10− 5 cells/fish. The treatment given by immersion crude followed experimental infection Vibrio parahaemolyticus. survival rate group treated with P. clearly demonstrated therapeutic use controlling Vibriosis. Histopathological analysis, clinical symptoms activity revealed efficiency V. parahaemolyticus infection. antimicrobial analysed order appraise productivity methanol discovering innovative bioactive compounds which can passed down aquaculture industry. Statement relevance Bioactive material shows maximum fish. present preliminary results, work excellently field levels, so they incorporated along feed for large scale application.
