Structured Event Retrieval over Microblog Archives

摘要: Microblog streams often contain a considerable amount of information about local, regional, national, and global events. Most existing microblog search capabilities are focused on recent happenings do not provide the ability to explore past This paper proposes problem structured retrieval historical event over archives. Rather than retrieving individual messages in response an query, we propose ranked list summaries by distilling high quality representations using novel temporal query expansion technique. The results exploratory study carried out large archive Twitter demonstrates both value task effectiveness our proposed methodologies.
