摘要: The fracture property estimation of ductile materials with small volumes at room temperature was performed experimentally and analytically in this study. A modified energy method the punch test (SPT) applied to estimate toughness based on membrane stretch analysis. effective strain assumed be average value center contact boundary strain. To overcome problem involved calculation by microscopic observation, one relatively simple correlation which related displacement proposed. results obtained model conventional experiment were good agreement. Furthermore, a three-dimensional finite element established successfully. influence ball diameter hole lower die SPT analyzed detailed discussion. Finally, applicability accuracy proved. An economic, can from present study assess properties in-service components micrometer scale materials.
