摘要: Understanding the load resisting mechanisms and failure modes of masonry walls loaded in their plane is key to validate mechanics-based analysis simulation algorithms. Proof tests are performed on specimens that extensively instrumented with transducers (e.g., LVDTs, potentiometers, strain gauges), which typically mounted a specimen at specific locations. The resulting measurements local cannot describe detail complex response infill confined systems, may combine bricks, mortar joints, reinforced concrete (RC), associated interfaces. In addition, crack maps marked by hand based visual inspection, making it likely overlook cracks especially when they have relatively small width or close after unloading.
