摘要: Technological change and factor bias in the Indian power sector are analyzed using a translog cost function. Various components of technological progress identified estimated, 21 year unbalanced panel data states union territories. Heterogeneity across is incorporated model variance component model. Appropriate corrections made for data. Empirical results show that annual average rate has been 2.4% country as whole. Accumulation knowledge increasing scale found to be major factors contributing progress. In contrast, effects price changes fixed capital accumulation on have unfavorable. Pure measure indicate saving use fuel labor, increased materials. Tests performed check curvature properties underlying technology.
