摘要: White-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) were immobilized with intramuscular doses of xylazine hydrochloride to facilitate blood sampling. Injection was either remotely by modified dart syringe or manually hand syringe. In 86 attempts immobilize female (aged 2, 5–6 yr) 73.3% effectively for 90 min while 108 male 2–3 at least 30 resulted in 94.4% effective immobilization.
