摘要: Filamentous fungi are able to accumulate significant amount of metals from their environment. The potential fungal biomass as agents for biosorption heavy contaminated sediments is currently receiving attention. In the present study, a total 41 isolates filamentous obtained sediment Langat River, Selangor, Malaysia were screened tolerance and uptake capability copper (Cu) lead (Pb). identified Aspergillus niger, A. fumigatus, Trichoderma asperellum, Penicillium simplicissimum P. janthinellum. niger simplicissimum, survive at 1000 mg/L Cu(II) concentration on Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) while Pb, only survived 5000 concentration. results showed that T. asperellum have better capacity Pb compared Cu findings indicated promising by these aqueous solution. study was also determined maximum removal Pb(II) performed niger. metal which occurred 200 (20.910 +/- 0.581) mg/g 250 (54.046 0.328) mg/g.
