摘要: Mitochondrial oxidative metabolism plays a key role in meeting energetic demands of cells by phosphorylation (OxPhos). Here, we have briefly discussed (a) the dynamic relationship that exists among glycolysis, tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, and OxPhos; (b) evidence impaired OxPhos (i.e. mitochondrial dysfunction) breast cancer; (c) mechanisms which dysfunction can predispose to (d) effects host environmental factors negatively affect function. We propose could increase susceptibility cancer via suppression p53 pathway, critical preventing tumorigenesis. is sensitive large number intrinsic (e.g. inflammation) as well exposures pesticides, herbicides other compounds). Polymorphisms over 143 genes also influence system. Therefore, declining with age due be common mechanism predisposing cancer.
