摘要: Cylindrical and rectangular flat-bottomed liquid storage tanks subjected to horizontal earthquake excitations are studied. Formulas curves that can be used obtain bending overturning moments presented. Certain combination of response spectra tank geometries produce maximum forces when the is only partially full. The use design in establishing this situation illustrated. For slender tanks, an assumption made present practice shown lead nonconservative results. elimination simplified expressions for these cases. Simplified also presented estimating free surface displacement.
