摘要: The pattern of production, development and survival component tillers spring barley (Hordeum distichum) cv. Triumph was investigated. Tiller appearance followed a well-defined pattern, with the emergence the main shoot by that primary tillers and by higher order tillers. earliest emerged survived the longest contributed largest percentage to grain yield; many of the died prematurely with those surviving contributing little yield whole plant. death and suppression tiller production were coincident the reproductive phase development; some late tillering after anthesis was observed. The nutritional hormonal control investigated by applying range nutrient plant growth regulator treatments. Pre-tillering applications retardant, Terpal, rapidly diminished stem, leaves roots whilst displaying promotory effect on tillering. Terpal increased the production early outgrowth enabling a greater proportion these survive produce ears; this did not result in any overall increase as mean ear size reduced. Another Cerone, auxin-antagonist, TIBA, similarly promoted apical dominance systems in uniculm varieties wheat compared. Tiller buds revealed leaf axils young plants and in it impossible initiate their whereas several treatments, notably Cerone TIBA production in plants. These results are discussed respect competition for assimilates/nutrients roles endogenous ethylene, auxin, gibberellins cytokinins. possibility using regulators to modify commercial scale is prospect of seed treatment useful method application is also considered.
