摘要: Abstract The Ascomycete Gibberella fujikuroi synthesizes gibberellins, fujenal, carotenoids, and other terpenoids. Twelve gib mutants, isolated through the modified gibberellin fluorescence of their culture media, were subjected to chemical biochemical analyses. Two mutants specifically defective in hydroxylation carbon 13; total production was normal, but main GA7 instead GA3. Four blocked early reactions between geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate 7-hydroxykaurenoic acid; two them could not synthesize kaurene another one several oxidative steps. Six had partial defects reactions, leading one-fifth one-third wild type amounts gibberellins fujenal. these produced considerable kaurenolides due a defect conversion kaurenoic acid acid.
