Determination of the anisotropy of rotational reorientation from ESR line width data

摘要: Abstract An ESR line width study of vanadyl acetylacetonate (abbreviated as VO(acac)2) in toluene has been carried out a function temperature at 9.5 GHz. It was found that VO(acac)2 undergoing anisotropic reorientation with N=2.8±1 along symmetry axis z′=Y, where N is the ratio R∥/R⊥ and R∥ rotational diffusion constant molecular Z R⊥ perpendicular to axis. The value obtained be agreement N=3.0±1 from allowed-values equation ϱx=0.634ϱy−0.910 ϱx=1 ϱy=3.0 consistent, within experimental error, predicted Stokes-Einstein model (N=2.1). results this could useful simulating spectra slow-tumbling region. can also used determine hydrodynamic radius solvated complex neat solution.
