摘要: Redox active metals (Fe and Cu) cofactors (heme) bind to Aβ peptides react with O2 in their reduced state leading oxidative stress the brain. In this study we cryogenically trap characterize a Fe–O2 intermediate, using resonance Raman spectroscopy, involved reactive oxygen species formation by peptides. This is first reaction intermediate relevant Alzheimer's disease be reported.
