摘要: The three pillars of sustainability are ecological preservation, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and the global economy. supply chain provides means for assessing impacts on environment, society, economics. decisions resource use pattern, reputation brand value, disruption risk entail entire chain. It is increasingly becoming apparent that benefits pursuing sustainable practices can outweigh costs. Enhanced efficiencies in water energy usage over years have led to a cost reduction $2 billion at DuPont, $50 million Novartis, $82 3M. In addition, greenhouse gas emissions went down by 66% DuPont. Sustainable help improve business reputation, provide new opportunities developing novel products match customers’ preferences.
