摘要: Background The long-term prognosis of those having a history Kawasaki disease (KD) is still unknown. Methods and Results Between July 1982 December 1992, 52 collaborating hospitals collected data on all patients new definite diagnosis KD. Patients were followed-up until 31, 2004 or their death. Standardized mortality ratios (SMRs) calculated based the Japanese vital statistics data. Of 6,576 enrolled, 36 (27 males, 9 females) died SMR was 1.14. Despite high SMRs during acute phase, rate not after phase for entire group patients. Although 0.71 without cardiac sequelae, 10 males (but none with sequelae observation period; male 2.55 (95% confidence interval: 1.23-4.70). Conclusions among because KD significantly higher in this cohort than general population. On other hand, females both elevated. (Circ J 2008; 72: 134 - 138)
