摘要: It is unknown whether replacement doses of cortisone acetate and the absence small amounts androgens secreted by adrenal cortex may cause osteoporosis. This was studied in 35 patients (12 men 23 women) suffering from primary adrenocortical failure taking 25-37.5 mg fludrocortisone 50-100 micrograms daily. Bone mineral density measured single photon absorptiometry at midshaft radius, representing cortical bone, distal part a site with significant trabecular component. The bone normal premenopausal female as well male patients, showing that do not affect mass. By contrast, postmenopausal there dramatic loss addition to physiological decrease loss, combined low plasma concentrations androstenedione, dehydroepiandrosterone, testosterone (and oestrone origin), indicates be essential for maintenance mass women Addison's disease. In addition, these data indicate have role women.
