摘要: Ferulic acid (FA) is a biologically active compound used as an additive in the food industry, and possesses wide range of therapeutic effects for treating different health problems. The interaction between FA bovine xanthine oxidase (XOD) has been investigated by means fluorescence spectroscopy methods. numbers binding sites constants were estimated at various temperatures results indicated existence one specific site XOD. Detailed information on molecules gathered after performing silico molecular docking accommodation molecule XOD pocket, close vicinity to residues. formation XOD–FA complex causes quenching protein fluorescence. process followed static mechanism lower temperatures, dynamic higher temperatures. thermodynamic parameters calculated basis revealed that association spontaneous driven enthalpy dominated hydrogen bonding van der Waals interaction. synchronous 3D spectra showed conformation was altered presence FA.
