摘要: Computerized tomographic (CT) brain scan was performed on 28 infants with unexplained cardiorespiratory and neurologic deterioration bloody lumbar cerebrospinal spinal fluid. Fourteen of 20 intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) died; the six lesser degrees IVH survived. Significant subarachnoid (SAH) demonstrable in three had negative scans despite CSF. We have found that CT provide useful information about size extent neonatal distinguished it from SAH. It also confirms diagnosis post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus these infants. Continued use will help us to understand natural history effects intracranial among survivors intensive care.
