摘要: Abstract The SiC particles reinforced Al5056 composite coating was deposited onto a pure Al substrate by cold spraying (CS) of powder mixture having 45 vol.% SiC, and then modified friction stir processing (FSP) with threaded tool probe aiming to study the changes in microstructure tribological behavior before after FSP treatment. Results showed that coatings consisted two phases no other diffraction peaks were detected FSPed coating. sizes reinforcement substantially refined from 12.2 μm 4.4 μm due severe effect at rotating speed 1400 rpm. exhibited homogenous distribution A dramatic increase microhardness 92.5 HV 185.7 HV observed redistribution refinement reinforcements average coefficients (COF) as-sprayed 0.25 0.39, respectively. higher COF increased force which originated uniformly dispersed embedding matrix.
