摘要: The equilibrium concentration ratio is typically the parameter used to estimate organism activity concentrations within wildlife dose assessment tools. Whilst this assumed be fit for purpose, there are scenarios such as accidental or irregular, fluctuating, releases from licensed facilities when might not case. In circumstances, approach may under- over-estimate radiation exposure depending upon time since release. To carrying out assessments releases, a dynamic needed. simplest and most practical option representing uptake turnover processes by first-order kinetics, which organism- element-specific biological half-life data required. paper we describe development of freely available international database radionuclide values. includes 1907 entries terrestrial, freshwater, riparian marine organisms. Biological values reported 52 elements across range groups (marine = 9, freshwater = 10, terrestrial = 7 riparian = 3 groups). Potential applications limitations discussed.
