摘要: We have determined the nucleotide sequence of a collagenase mRNA from rabbit synovial cells which primary structure encoded protein was deduced. This proteinase is 51% homologous to enzyme that activates it zymogen form, cell activator/stromelysin. Rabbit and activator/stromelysin thus share comembership in gene family includes human skin collagenase; metalloproteinase, activator/stromelysin; an oncogene-induced rat named transin. The enabled us completely map its gene, 9.1 kilobases composed 10 exons 9 introns. first report gene. show has striking similarity additional members this metalloproteinase family, transin genes I II rat. further sequenced genomic DNA flanking identified nucleic acid elements possible importance regulation.
