摘要: Systematic review of literature was made to assess the extent accuracy cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) as a tool for measurement alveolar bone loss in periodontal defect. A systematic search PubMed electronic database and hand open access journals (from 2000 2015) yielded abstracts that were potentially relevant. The original articles then retrieved their references searched possible missing articles. Only met selection criteria included criticized. initial screening revealed 47 relevant articles, which only 14 have criteria; CBCT average measurements error ranged from 0.19 mm 1.27 mm; however, no valid meta-analysis could be due high heterogeneity between studies. Under limitation number strength available studies, we concluded provides an assessment defect with minimum reported mean ± 0.11 maximum 1.43 mm, there is agreement studies regarding direction deviation whether over or underestimation. However, should emphasize evidence this data not strong.
