摘要: OBJECTIVE: The First Episode of Psychosis (FEP) represents a period heightened risk for aggression. However, it is not known whether this significantly altered following contact with mental health services. METHOD: Meta-analytic methods were used to estimate pooled prevalence 'any' and 'serious' aggression during FEP, while meta-regression analyses conducted explore reasons heterogeneity between studies. RESULTS: Fifteen studies comprising 3, 294 FEP subjects analysed. Pooled 'any aggression' before service was 28% (95% CI: 22-34) 31% 20-42). 'serious 16% 11-20) 13% 6-20) contact. Four reporting repeated assessments within the same cohort revealed that rates did differ post pre contact: Odds Ratios any aggression: 1.18 0.46-2.99) serious 0.61 0.31-1.21). CONCLUSION: Rates are high both initial contact, seem alter This conclusion remains tentative due considerable lack prospective Language: en
