摘要: Purpose – Of particular interest is the ability of extended finite element method (XFEM) to capture transient solution and motion phase boundaries without adaptive remeshing or moving-mesh algorithms for a physically nonlinear change problem. The paper aims discuss this issue. Design/methodology/approach XFEM applied solve problems with change. Thermal conductivity volumetric heat capacity are assumed be dependent on temperature. nonlinearities in governing equations make it necessary employ an effective iterative approach Newton-Raphson used incremental discrete derived. Findings robustness utility demonstrated several one-dimensional benchmark problems. Originality/value novel procedure based developed
