摘要: Pyroprocessing technology has been actively developed at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) to meet the necessity of addressing spent fuel management issue. This advantages over aqueous process such as less proliferation risk, treatment with relatively high heat and radioactivity, compact equipments. paper describes pyroprocessing development KAERI from head-end waste treatment. The unit various scales tested produce design data associated scale-up. Pyroprocess integrated inactive demonstration facility (PRIDE) was constructed it began test operation in 2012. purpose PRIDE is regarding performance, remote equipments, integration processes, scale-up process, monitoring, argon environment system operation, safeguards-related activities. will be promising for further development.
