摘要: Abstract To estimate the sign and size of correlations between student perceptions social‐psychological environments their classes learning outcomes, 734 from 12 studies on 823 in eight subject areas were analyzed. These represented a total 17,805 students four nations. A 31 36 hypotheses, theoretically‐derived 1969 supported. Learning outcomes gains are positively associated with Cohesiveness, Satisfaction, Task Difficulty, Formality, Goal Direction, Democracy, Material Environment negatively Friction, Cliqueness, Apathy, Disorganization. Jack‐knifed regression equations show that magnitudes depend specific scales, level aggregation, nation but not sample size, matter, domain outcome (cognitive, affective, or behavioral), statistical adjustments for ability pretests.
