摘要: This paper discusses contract-for-services, the dominant mechanism of social service delivery in United States. The development use contract-for-services 20th century is outlined as well increasingly interdependent relationship that exists between nonprofit organizations and government. contracting itself one inherently insecure, which assumed to create competition an incentive for high performance. Evidence, however, indicates often less than vigorous contracting. In addition, there a growing consensus trust central component healthy productive relationships. Individuals also each approach relationships with varied levels trust. Based on Yamagishi Yamagishi’s Trust Scales, it argued sense or caution exhibited by vendor impacts their perception relationship. vendor’s orientation will likely push them view way more fit either classic principal-agent theory stewardship theory, two theories employed explain aspects explores interplay realities contracting-for-services relationship; identifying key areas future research efforts.
