摘要: Hair morphology has been studied and applied in several subjects, such as food quality control, archaeology, criminology, ecology. Although medullar scale patterns of hair structure are well known for a variety mammal species, the effects hazardous conditions on internal external not known. In present work, white-eared opossum (Didelphis albiventris) hairs were submitted to taxidermy, digestion, putrefaction processes, afterwards their was compared control hairs, under scanning electron microscope light microscope. The results obtained indicate that processes tested do cause damage opossum's hairs. conclusion, based experiments with D. albiventris it is possible compare from museum collections or freshly collected found scats, gut contents, pellets, other sources.
