摘要: Twenty Entamoeba histolytica strains from patients with HIV-1 infection were isolated and compared E. without HIV infection. The isoenzyme pattern of the hexokinase as well hybridization known DNA-probes used markers for pathogenicity. According to these markers, all 20 could be regarded being nonpathogenic. Direct measurements virulence carried out: destruction monolayer tissue culture cells, capacity phagocytosis ability induce liver abscesses in hamster. was comparable that which had been HIV-negative asymptomatic carriers. In agreement this, none HIV-positive showed symptoms an invasive amebiasis. By PRC, no proviral DNA evidenced patients.
