Social class and minor psychiatric disorder in British Civil Servants: a validated screening survey using the General Health Questionnaire

摘要: Major psychiatric disorder is more common in people of lower rather than higher socioeconomic status. This less clear for the commoner, so-called minor disorders, but these are affected by tendency to report symptoms. To examine this distribution employment grade measured 30-item General Health Questionnaire reported from first cross-sectional phase Whitehall II Study 10314 London-based civil servants, men and women between 35 55 years. Validation GHQ a random subsample stratified sex (N = 201) suggested that grades tend under-report on relative those grades.
