摘要: A cohort of 63 hemophiliac subjects was followed for clinical and immunologic abnormalities related to the acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). When evaluated in early 1984, antibody human T cell leukemia virus type III (HTLV-III) detected serum 59 percent (24 41) factor VIII or IX concentrate recipients, but none (0 six) cryoprecipitate/fresh frozen plasma recipients. HTLV-III-seropositive subjects, on average, had been exposed twice as much during previous year seronegative subjects. The seropositive group a significantly lower mean helper/suppressor ratio absolute helper level than group. By 13 study population lymphadenopathy one AIDS. Antibody HTLV-III these 14 with overt disease. prevalence AIDS among 54 (13 24). It is concluded that occurs high frequency amount infused. Over half this disease either
