摘要: Abstract Auxins (a class of plant growth hormones naturally present in all plants) have been implicated fruit pea. Pea ( Pisum sativum L.) contain the auxins indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and 4-chloroindole-3-acetic (4-C1-IAA). Fruits grow poorly subsequently abscise when seeds are removed two days after anthesis, but 4-C1-IAA can substitute for maintaining deseeded (pericarp) planta . Applications promoted pericarp growth, effect increasing with concentration from 1 to 100 μM, IAA was ineffective stimulating tested 0.1 μM. The position halogen on examined by assaying activities 4-, 5-, 6- 7-chloro- fluoro-substituted IAA. type dramatically affected auxin activity, natural product being most effective. Of other compounds tested, only 5-C1-IAA stimulated pea elongation, then moderately. Fluoro-substituted IAAs did not stimulate 4-F-IAA inhibitory. This study is unique that it reports biological activity halogen-IAA analogues tissues intact plants known 4-C1-IAA. relative discussed reference previous systems, 4-C1-IAA's possible importance growth.
